ArtAngel The Directors: Watch and Discuss

Join us to watch and discuss three short films made in collaboration between artist Marcus Coates and individuals in recovery from different lived experiences of psychosis. Positioned behind the camera, each of them directs Coates in a filmed restaging of particular episodes from their lives. The event will be introduced by Marina Doritis, Senior Producer at Artangel, who worked closely with the artist and participants on this project. Marina will also lead short discussions and answer any questions following each of the films. We will watch Marcus (17 mins), Mark (27 mins) and Lucy (21 mins).  
 
Objectives: 
1. Increase the number of practitioners viewing The Directors who might find it a useful tool in future. 
2. Describe the need for an increase in empathy and decrease stigma towards people with mental health concerns, specifically psychosis. 
3. Elicit direct feedback on the project from people in the medical and educational fields
